C O R A L - The Installation

We arrived at Ville Evrard on Thursday the 11th of March to install the set design. Lucie Monéteau, the head of Set Design department, had managed to get the entire furnitures in order to make it believable as an active hospital.

The building being derelict, there was an enormous amount of cleaning up to do.

As we arrived, all hyped up and ecstatic to start installing, we noticed that the electric panel was locked. As we called to enquire why and especially, to unlock it and get the power to plug the site hoover on, we were informed that there had been an intrusion a few nights prior, and that wires had been cut all over in order to steal the copper within. And that there was no power in the building. At all. The electrician couldn't come before the next morning. Panicked, we rang Next Shot to see if we could borrow two generators. The set department had already done a great deal of cleaning up, so we left.

The next morning, Naomi (DOP) and Hugo (Key Gaffer), met with the electrician who confirmed that he could only give us a little bit of juice from the panel directly for catering.

Lucie and Matthieu went to get all of the set design, and then all of the camera, light and grip gear. Around 9pm, we had managed to get it all done.
